Art has always been part of my live. As a teen, I started painting seriously and taught myself to work with palette in oil by copying Franz Marc's paintings and soon creating my own style. Being a realistic person, that wants to live well, I studied Geology at Pasadena City College from which I received an physical science award and a scholarship, then attended and graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Geological Engineering. Afterwards, while working for various companies in marketing, I still pursuit my passion for fine art, picking up stained glass design, gaining recognition by the Glass Masters Guild in New York, NY as the only finalist with an entry of a realistic portrait in glass.
At the beginning of the new millennium, I dedicated myself to the design and creation of fine jewelry, faceting gems and working in 18k gold. Now I apply my designs also to enameling specializing in cloisonné, plique a jour and transparent limoges to merge my metalworking skills with my creativity in painting and design. In 2006 I entered two pieces at the Small Image Show at the San Diego Spanish Village Art Center. Both where accepted and received the Leslie von Kolb Memorial Award for one of my Borego Series. In 2007 I entered the Cloisonne Jewelry Contest of the Japan Shippo Conference, Tokyo and was a Featured Artist at the 2007 Catalogue. Entering six exhibits at the 2007 San Diego County Fair, I received three First Price Awards. One for my Borego Series #2 Set, the others for metal work and pearl jewelry. At the 2008 Shippo Conference, I exhibited 3 pieces, with "On the Wings of Butterflies..." receiving the "Award for Encouragement".
