-THE BOREGO SERIES-
This award winning cloisonné series was inspired by the desert blooms of Borrego Springs, California after the extensive rainfalls during the 2005 Spring Season. The desert in bloom, nothing but flowers and flowers against the beautiful desert mountain back drop.
So, I designed 36 themes of various fantasy flowers.The large pendantsinclude 3 basic design elements - the BOTTOM ARC - the SIDE ARC - and the DIAGONAL SCROLL from the bottom corner to the opposite top corner. The smaller items such as small pendants, earrings and bracelets reflect design elements of the large pendants, with consideration to the smaller scale.
These bracelets have a hand fabricated and textured Fine Silver base and frame. The cloisonné wires are Fine Silver, milled to various thicknesses to enhance the design. The links (tubes) and the locket are 925 Silver. All the enamels are premium French leaded enamels, chosen for their transparency and brilliance. To enhance their beauty, the back is also textured and enameled with the same high quality transparent enamels.
Some of the designs are executed more than once in very limited quantities. The variation in color and distinct design differences make each and every one of them truly an original signed work of art. Along with the large pendants, there are also bracelets, small pendants and earrings available of some of the designs. Special orders for items SOLD or sets of a Borego design are available at reasonable lead times and prices.
